Brooklyn wedding DJ reveals exactly what happened – ‘He put hands on Victoria’s hips’

DJ Fat Tony has given his account of what happened at Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s 2022 wedding after the 26-year-old claimed his famous mum Victoria ‘hijacked’ the day

DJ Fat Tony has revealed what really happened during Brooklyn Beckham’s now infamous wedding dance with his mum Victoria. This week, Brooklyn sent social media into a spin with a series of bombshell claims about his mum ‘hijacking’ his first dance with bride Nicola and dancing ‘inappropriately’ on him.

The claims were part of a six-post takedown of Victoria and David, as their eldest child vowed he’d never speak to them after they had ‘humiliated him and controlled his entire life.’ In his rant, Brooklyn said his parents had wrecked his 2022 wedding to the point he and Nicola had to renew their vows last year to create a wedding they wanted to keep the memories from.

Guests at the first Beckham-Peltz nuptials were ordered to hand their phones in on arrival, with only the wedding tape holding the footage of the much-discussed first dance. Fans had been left guessing at what really went down during the mother-son moment – until now.

DJ Fat Tony appeared on This Morning today to reveal how the tense moment – that he confirmed left bride Nicola in floods of tears – really unfolded.

Addressing Victoria’s dancing, he said: “There was no slut dropping, there was no PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girls actions. The word inappropriate – why I said it was inappropriate as well because it was the timing.”

“What happened was – basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto the stage. Everyone is expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance and then Marc asks the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage, then he said: “Victoria come to the stage.”

“At that point, Brooklyn is devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out. Marc says, “Put your hands on your mother’s hips!” It was a latin thing and that whole situation was awkward for everyone in the room.”

The DJ said the atmosphere did not end there as the toe-curling moment was all anyone could talk about the text day.

“I DJed the brunch, which was the most awkward part of it all because that’s when everything was discussed from the night before,” he said.

When asked about what people were saying the morning after the wedding, Tony admitted, “Well you know, when the bride and groom leave their wedding devastated, word trickles out… and not many people turned up for the brunch, but everyone was talking about it, and how sad that part of it was. But Victoria was thrown into that situation, and I think too much has been read into it… in the sense of too many stories being added to it. The dance is a very small part of the bigger problem.”

Host Alison Hammond, said, “As a mother, the whole thing saddens me, and I would love to put it out there to Brooklyn and to Victoria, I would love to bring you all together and I would love to mediate. I’m here if they want to do that Tony.”

When asked why Brooklyn didn’t just take the statement to his parents, Tony replied, “He’s done all that. It got to the point for him where he can’t take this anymore and wanted to step back from it, and that was his way of doing closure. That’s his decision.”

He added: “What’s sad is that this is the bit that everyone’s taken from the statement, and kind of white washed everything else that went on. It’s taken a lot for someone to go to social media, when your life is lived out on social media… he wanted to change the narrative. For all of his life he’s been called ‘Nepo Baby’, and ‘he should be grateful that he’s got the family name’.. But that’s what he was born into, y’know. I think what we’re all missing here is the fact that parents have lost their child, and a son has lost his parents…”

Fat Tony appeared on the daytime show after poking fun at the situation by posting a meme parodying Victoria’s alleged dancing. Sharing a video of Motherland’s Amanda (Lucy Punch) doing a cringeworthy dance at a PTA meeting, he compared her moves to Victoria’s, writing: “Actual video footage, it’s true I was there!”

Meanwhile, his partner, Stavros Agapiou, also confirmed Brooklyn’s version of events. Writing on a video of influencer Jack Remmington speaking about the situation, wedding guest Stavros said in a now-deleted tweet: “I was there, and she did; he’s telling the truth.” He later followed it up with: “Good on him for finally speaking out!”

Fat Tony has been a close friend of the Beckhams for many years, and even DJed Brooklyn’s 21st. Lifting the lid on his chaotic 2022 wedding, Brooklyn said this week: “Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” he wrote. “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”

After Tony’s post, it was reported that Victoria and David responded by unfollowing the DJ on Instagram despite their long friendship.

Yesterday, Brooklyn broke cover with wife Nicola for the first time since sharing the statement. The couple were all smiles as they walked their dog on Malibu beach in California. A36600952 friend told The Mirror: “He would do it all again in a heartbeat but now he just wants to live his life with the woman he loves.”

They spent nearly 30 minutes walking down the beach, laughing and smiling with one of their rescue dogs.
