BBC’s Question Time descended into chaos once again as viewers erupted in fury over what they branded “blatant bias” during a fiery episode hosted by Fiona Bruce — with Reform UK’s Zia Yusuf at the centre of a storm that left social media seething.

Bruce returned to the helm for another hour-long debate, broadcasting from Dorking, but instead of calm political discussion, the programme quickly spiralled into controversy as accusations of partiality dominated the reaction at home.
The panel featured Labour’s Emma Reynolds, Conservative Julia Lopez, Liberal Democrat Munira Wilson, Reform UK’s Zia Yusuf, and journalist Oli Dugmore. However, it was the explosive discussion around Lord Peter Mandelson — and his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein — that set viewers alight.
Much of the debate centred on Mandelson’s resignation from Keir Starmer’s Labour Party following renewed scrutiny of his relationship with Epstein, including shocking images from the so-called Epstein Files. The panel also grappled with whether Prime Minister Keir Starmer should face consequences over Mandelson’s role — but many watching at home felt the conversation was being steered in one direction.

As Zia Yusuf challenged the narrative and pressed Labour figures hard, viewers accused Fiona Bruce of repeatedly intervening, prompting an avalanche of online backlash.
Posting on X, one furious viewer wrote:
“This is unwatchable these days. Hand-picked lefties in the audience and paid cheerleaders flooding the hashtags to defend the indefensible Labour party. #bbcqt”
Another added:
“The far-left panel trying to turn the Epstein–Mandelson–Starmer affair on Reform? The desperation absolutely stinks.”
The anger soon turned personal, with calls for Bruce’s dismissal growing louder by the minute.
“She should be sacked. A total disgrace,” one viewer fumed.

Another blasted:
“Fiona Bruce at it again — twisting the debate to protect Labour. Question Time is a joke now.”
Yet amid the fury, some viewers singled out journalist Oli Dugmore as a rare voice of reason, applauding his blunt assessment of Labour’s handling of the scandal.
Dugmore told the audience:
“Not only did people at the top of the Labour Party know about Mandelson staying at Epstein’s house while he was in prison — they didn’t think it was disqualifying. They thought, ‘Actually, this is our guy.’”
The remark struck a chord online, with one fan posting:
“Journalist and broadcaster Oli Dugmore is spot on.”
Another echoed simply:
“Well said, Oli.”
As the episode wrapped up, the fallout showed no sign of slowing. What was meant to be another routine edition of Question Time instead reignited long-running accusations of BBC bias — and left Fiona Bruce facing renewed scrutiny from an increasingly angry audience.
One thing is clear: for many viewers, the row wasn’t just about Mandelson, Epstein or Starmer — it was about trust. And for Question Time, that trust appears to be wearing dangerously thin.
