Nicola Peltz took drastic steps to avoid backlash as she declared she was ‘grateful’ for her husband Brooklyn, who last month blocked his entire family from seeing his life updates on Instagram.
Amid the Beckham feud, Nicola Peltz decided to turn off the comments on her Instagram after attracting hundreds of negative comments. Nepo-baby Nicola, whose parents are billionaires, celebrated her 31st birthday this weekend, surrounded by her family, and of course with her husband Brooklyn.
Brooklyn went to great steps to create the perfect ballerina themed party for Nicola. Meanwhile, the birthday girl’s story posts showed her and Brooklyn posing in front of a sunset, while they wrapped their arms around each other and smiled for a photo, with other photos showing her hugging her dad. In one Story post she wrote: “So grateful to start the New Year with these beautiful humans.”

Brooklyn and Nicola celebrated the New Year together
But while Nicola showed off her close relationship with her nearest and dearest, Brooklyn has completely cut his own out of the couple’s lives. With his heartbroken parents still reeling, fans have been flooding the couples’ recent posts with comments about the highly-publicised fallout.
Now, to avoid backlash, Nicola has turned the comments off on her last two posts, after one on 30th December was met with jibes about Brooklyn, 26. Simply showing her eating a snack on a sun-lounger, the innocent post attracted numerous questions over her estranged in-laws.
One follower wrote: “Hates her in laws, took their last name lol odd.” Another simply showed their support for Brooklyn’s parents, tagging them: “we love @davidbeckham and @victoriabeckham.”
A third fan offered some advice to the couple:”Embrace your in-laws with patience and love. Marriage joins families, not just two people, and your kindness can bring peace and harmony into your home. Choosing understanding does not weaken you—it strengthens your marriage and sets a beautiful example for your family.”

Someone else asked: “Why do you call yourself Beckham?” One person urged her to build bridges with her in-laws: “As a mum of 54 with my goodness several family issues I stand in no judgement of you nicola but as a good loving wife it’s your responsibility to guide your husband to reconcile with his family regardless of who is to blame..I’ve lost my sister to cancer, my husband to suicide, dear dear friends over the years to tragic deaths and untold traumas!
“My 2nd husband and my only son are my life and if I lost them I just couldn’t survive. David Beckham is desperate to make up..they miss their son so bad it hurts to see! Do the right thing and you’ll see how much nicer life gets ..look at his latest post it’s so sad.”

Brooklyn celebrated Christmas with Nicola’s family
Meanwhile, David, Victoria and their other children are still waiting to hear from Brooklyn. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, it emerged that Brooklyn had blocked his father mum Victoria and brothers Cruz and Romeo from his social media accounts.
But pals of the Beckhams say David and Victoria will “never give up” hope of making up. A New Year message, described by one source as David’s “boldest olive branch yet”, marked David setting “for the record his love for his son.”
Victoria reshared a cute black and white snap posted by husband David of him and Brooklyn, where the England footy icon wrote: “I love you all so much,” adding a red heart to the post. David also shared another black-and-white snap with Victoria and all their brood, writing alongside it: “You are my life, I love you all, love Daddy. On to 2026.”
One source said: “David and Victoria will never give up trying to secure a reconciliation between them and their son. Nothing will change that, and they live in hope. He will always be their son, and they are not going to stop putting on record their feelings.”
