King Charles reportedly wanted Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to leave Royal Lodge early, according to reports.

According to reports, Andrew left the Windsor property “under the cover of darkness” earlier this week, after more headlines about his relationship with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor sent packing

Reports had claimed that Andrew wouldn’t be leaving his home of over 20 years, Royal Lodge, until later this month.

However, after more scrutiny against Andrew making headlines this week following the release of more Epstein files, it seems the decision was made to move him to Sandringham early.

Andrew will reportedly be living in Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate from Easter. However, his future home is reportedly undergoing renovations at the moment.

Therefore, the disgraced royal will reportedly be living temporarily at Wood Farm Cottage on the Sandringham Estate until Marsh Farm is ready.

Marsh Farm reportedly features five bedrooms, two reception rooms, and a kitchen. It also features an improved sewage system, security fences, cameras, and lights have been installed in recent weeks.

‘Real reason’ King Charles kicked Andrew out of Royal Lodge early

Last weekend, amid headlines about his association with Epstein causing outrage, Andrew was seen out in the grounds of Windsor Castle, riding his horse.

This was allegedly the final straw for his brother, King Charles.

Charles said enough was enough.

“The sight of him plastered on the front pages out riding his horse or driving in his car past photographers in Windsor, amid the continued dripping poison of the Epstein files, was just too much. He had to be removed from the public eye,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“Charles said enough was enough, and the message was conveyed to Andrew that it was time for him to head to Norfolk immediately.”

‘Nightmare’ for royal family

In the wake of more headlines regarding Andrew’s links to Epstein, some MPs have called for Andrew to appear before US Congress for questioning over his ties to the late convicted sex offender.

Andrew has always vehemently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein and being named or pictured among the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.

The UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, said recently: “In terms of testifying, I have always said anybody who has got information should be prepared to share that information in whatever form they are asked to do that. You can’t be victim-centred if you’re not prepared to do that.”

However, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has suggested that this would be a “nightmare” for the royal family.

Speaking to Royal Insider exclusively, he said: “If Andrew were to testify before Congress, it might be useful to substitute a ventriloquist’s dummy and prime it to prevent error! It could be an absolute nightmare for the royal family.”
