The celebrity chef reportedly took a savage swipe at his new son-in-law Adam Peaty’s parents after his daughter tied the knot on Saturday

Gordon Ramsay didn’t hold back in his wedding speech at daughter Holly’s wedding, reportedly taking a savage swipe at his new son-in-law Adam Peaty’s parents and telling the newlyweds that his wife Tana could be “a good mum to them both”.

Influencer Holly tied the knot with the Olympian at Bath Abbey on Saturday, followed by a reception at Kin House in the Cotswolds amid a huge family fall out. Around 200 guests attended the star-studded ceremony, but reports suggest that his mum and brother were barred from the day, and Adam’s father, Mark Peaty was only invited under controversial conditions.

Gordon appeared to wade into the family feud in his father-of-the-bride speech.

Tana ‘a good mum to them both’

According to The Sun, the celebrity chef said his wife Tana “will be a good mum to them both” during his speech after it was revealed Adam’s mum, Caroline, was uninvited from the ceremony, back in November.

Sitting at home more than 130 miles away in Staffordshire, Caroline was said to be beside herself with grief at missing what should have been one of the happiest days of her life.

Speaking from the council house where Adam grew up, the 59–year–old told The Mail on Sunday: “I’m not going to be hurt like this again”.

It was also claimed Adam failed to mention his family or parents in his own speech following reports he’d blocked text messages from his family. Moments before the swimmer said ‘I do’, he allegedly received a heartbreaking text from his aunt who shamed him for him uninviting his mum to the wedding.

Instead, he voiced his praise for his swim coach Mel Marshall for being his “everything” and for “grounding and inspiring him”.

In a brutal dig to his estranged mother, he also reportedly said he was Mel “like a mum”.

‘Shame’ you don’t have the same

It’s thought Gordon also commented on how beautiful Holly looked in his speech, telling Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

The Sun goes on to claim that Gordon went on to tell his daughter: “Shame you don’t have the same.”

A source told the publication: “This was the Ramsays’ plan all along. They wanted Adam’s family gone and they have succeeded.

“You’d think that as parents, Gordon and Tana would have a bit more compassion towards Caroline, Mark and the family.”

Representatives for Adam and Gordon have been contacted by The Mirror for comment.

The roots of the Peaty family conflict go back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly snubbed wider members of the Peaty family by not inviting them to their engagement party.

Caroline was also not invited to Holly’s glamorous hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, even though the bride’s mother, Tana Ramsay, and friends including Victoria Beckham, were invited.
