Amanda Holden has revealed the brutally honest verdict her husband Chris Hughes has given about one particular part of her appearance.

The television and radio star made the admission while appearing alongside fellow presenter and best friend Alan Carr on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware. While chatting to the hosts, conversation soon turned to unusual career ideas and the surprising earning potential of online content.

As the discussion unfolded, Jessie asked Alan what type of show he would like to make after winning Celebrity Traitors, prompting a humorous reply about future ambitions. Alan jokingly suggested that he had “done it all” with his own sitcom, a travel show with best friend Amanda and an interior design programme.

The 49-year-old then quipped that his next move could potentially be a film, becoming an astronaut or starting an OnlyFans account. Jessie joked about whether there would be demand, leading Amanda to ask: “Which bit would you show?” Alan replied: “My feet, I’ve got lovely feet.” Amanda agreed the niche could be lucrative, saying: “I keep thinking we should do feet because you can earn a fortune.”

However, when asked about her own feet, the presenter delivered a self-deprecating punchline that revealed her husband’s opinion. She said: “No, my husband says, I look lovely till I get to my ankles, and then he says my feet are like little wool sausages that have been hit with a mallet.”

The candid remark drew laughter from the group, with Alan teasing her choice of footwear before adding reassurance that her feet were still “lovely.” Jessie also joked about the situation, suggesting it might be time for Amanda to move in with Alan instead.

The exchange offered a glimpse of the humour that often characterises Amanda’s public persona and her long-running relationship with husband Chris Hughes, whom she married in 2008. The couple share two daughters and frequently feature in the presenter’s anecdotes on air.

The light-hearted moment comes shortly after Amanda delivered another humorous but pointed message directed at Chris following a family incident involving their youngest daughter. Speaking on the Heart Radio Breakfast Show with co-host Jamie Theakston, she explained that her daughter Hollie had suffered a head injury at school and was recovering at home.

Amanda revealed the situation after Jamie noticed she had brought an additional phone into the studio. Explaining the device belonged to her 14-year-old daughter, she described the practical challenge of setting it up and transferring everything across.

She went on to explain the circumstances surrounding Hollie’s injury, telling listeners: “Because she sustained a bump to the head at school last week, I took her to the doctors and she’s got, like, a postponed concussion – which is a thing. At the moment she’s still in bed and I don’t know if she will be going [to school].”

With Chris at home caring for their daughter, Amanda joked about leaving him to manage the situation himself, adding: “I said to her father, ‘You’re in charge because you’re at home with her – don’t call me!’”

After Jamie observed that Hollie was now both “concussed and phoneless,” Amanda quipped: “A good position to be in.”
