Hilarious court sketches of Prince Harry leave royal fans in stitches
The Duke of Sussex returned to the UK this week to attend the start of the trial.
Prince Harry has been in court this week as one of the claimants in the trial against the publisher of the Daily Mail – Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL). The Duke of Sussex, along with Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish, campaigner Baroness Doreen Lawrence, politician Sir Simon Hughes, and actresses Sadie Frost and Liz Hurley, are all bringing legal action against ANL over allegations of unlawful information gathering.
This includes allegations that ANL commissioned unlawful activities such as phone tapping and “blagging” private records. ANL deny all accusations against them.
On Wednesday, the duke, 41, gave his testimony in court, with the moment having been drawn by a court sketch artist. These sketches have since left fans in stitches, with many commenting on Prince Harry’s hair.

Court sketch artist Elizabeth Cook has sketched Harry in court as he gave his evidence. In the sketch, the Duke of Sussex has been drawn being questioned by Antony White KC, representing ANL. Many people on social media were quick to comment on the sketch online, especially the way Harry’s hair has been shown receding with patches of baldness. One person wrote on X: “You have to give credit to the court artist who accurately highlighted Harry Mountbatten Windsor’s ALARMING BALDNESS.” Another said, in a brutal blow to the prince: “Yes…this artist is a good one.” Someone else said: “Got the bald comb over spot on though…ouch.”

Another sketch got people talking online as they thought the judge in the trial was drawn in a way that made him look like comedian Alan Carr or ex Prime Minister Winston Churchill. One person wrote online: “That’s Winston Churchill!” Another said: “Judge Chattyman KC.” Someone else quipped: “Is that Alan Carr in the chair?”

People online also mocked Harry in the sketch and said it showed his “beady” eyes. One person wrote on X: “His beady eyes.” Another said: “Beady eyes, bald head.”

It was not only the court sketches of Harry that got people online laughing this week. Court sketches of actress Elizabeth Hurley also got people on X talking, with many unable to tell it was her in the sketch. One person wrote: “To be fair she looks nothing at all like this.” Another said: “Well you’d never know that was Hurley.” Someone else wrote: “It doesn’t look anything like her does it.”
