Meanwhile, one of Luxmy’s colleagues wrote: “It was lovely working with you on the weekend.”

Ben Boulos revealed his departure from BBC Breakfast whilst hosting the show earlier this month.

During his final sign-off, Ben informed audiences: “Just before we finish, just to share a bit of news, this is my last appearance on Breakfast for the time being, I am off to take a job elsewhere, but I will miss this place and this programme a lot.”

As co-host Luxmy offered an encouraging smile and reached across to touch his shoulder, he continued: “I have had the most wonderful on Breakfast, thank you to the brilliant teams we work with and above all.

“Thank you to everyone watching at home for letting me be part of your mornings, it has been a pleasure and a real privilege.”

Luxmy concluded: “But for now, from Ben for the final time, and from me – enjoy the rest of your day and have a lovely Sunday afternoon, whatever you are up to. And goodbye, Ben! Take care, goodbye.”

After making his announcement, Ben posted a clip on Instagram documenting his final day, captioning it: “One last time… Get ready with me and have a rare glimpse #behindthescenes during my last appearance on @bbcbreakfast – today, Sunday 11 Jan 2026.

“I can’t quite believe it, it’s quite surreal,” he remarked in the footage whilst arriving at the BBC studios at 4.30am.

“Here we go, onto the red sofa, one last time.”
