Prince William asked unusual question about Princess Kate during royal tour

The Prince of Wales has been on a royal tour this week without his wife Princess Catherine.

Prince William was asked an unusual question about his wife, Princess Catherine, during his royal tour to Saudi Arabia this week. The Prince of Wales, 43, was all smiles on Tuesday as he met young girls aged 10-15 from youth squads in Riyadh.

The girls took part in training drills on the pitch at MISK Sports City, with Prince William being encouraged to take part in the crossbar challenge. The challenge required William to take three shots at the goal and aim to hit the crossbar, but instead, he kicked all three balls into the net.

After the challenge, William spoke to the footballers, who also asked him questions.

One girl asked him: “Did Princess Kate come with you?”

Prince William replied: “No, she’s not here sadly, no.”

It is believed that the couple always tries to ensure that at least one of them is at home with the children whenever possible.

While William seems to have been enjoying the tour, he is no doubt missing Catherine and his three children.

The prince mentioned his children to the children after the football training. He said: “They would love it here. Will you show them how to play football? My children love football, but you guys are another level.

“I can see you guys will be at the World Cup very soon, and then you’re going to make me feel very old.

“My children love sport, so the more they can get involved and get more active, the better.”
