The country singer began, “Today is October the 8 and obviously I am here doing some commercials for the Grand Ole Opry, which is why I’m dressed kind of like a country western girl.

“Before I get started, I wanted to say, I know lately everyone thinks I am sicker than I am, do I look sick to you?

“I am working hard here!”

Dolly continued in the clip, “Anyway, I wanted to put everyone’s mind at ease. Those of you who seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate.

“I appreciate your prayers cause I am a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything.”

“But I want you to know I am okay. I have some problems as I mentioned. Back when my husband Carl was very sick. That was for a long time.

“When he passed, I didn’t take care of myself. I let a lot of things go that I should’ve taken care of.

“When I got around to it, the doctor said, we need to take care of this, we need to take care of that. Nothing major but I did have to cancel some things to be closer to home and where I am having a few treatments here and there.

“I wanted you to know that I am not dying!”

Dolly is referring to her husband Carl Dean, who sadly died at the age of 82 in March 2025.

She continued, “I figured if you heard it from me, you would know that I was okay.”

Dolly ended the video, “I’m not ready to die yet! I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working. I love you for caring and keep praying for me.”

HEALTH CONCERNS

Dolly first sparked health concerns when she canceled several upcoming performances.

Last week, the Tennessee native announced she was forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency after dealing with a number of “health challenges.”

Dolly’s shows were scheduled for six dates in early December at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Tim McGraw has since taken her place and the rescheduled shows have been set for September 2026.

In her message to fans, Dolly explained that she couldn’t perform due to doctor’s orders and had to undergo “a few procedures.”

She assured fans that she would be back on stage soon, writing, “And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.

“He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.

“I love you and thank you for understanding.”

Then weeks earlier, Dolly had to bail on an appearance at her famed amusement park, Dollywood, after suffering from a “kidney stone.”

Dolly Parton’s Career Highlights

Dolly Parton is one of the most well-known country stars in the business, and her career has continued to flourish. Here’s a look at the highlights of the music legend’s decades-long career.

Dolly wrote and released her first single, Puppy Love, including the B-track Girl Left Alone, on Goldband Records when she was 11 years old.
Although her single wasn’t a big hit, she ended up performing at Nashville, Tennessee’s Grand Ole Opry for the first time at 13 years old and was introduced by Johnny Cash.
Dolly made the Billboard country charts in January 1967 with two singles from Monument Records: Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy.
The singer earned her first number-one hit in 1971 with her single Joshua.
In 1974, Dolly’s arguably most well-known song, Jolene, reached number one on the country charts.
Her music continued to succeed, and she was awarded the Female Vocalist of the Year award at the CMAs in 1975.
Dolly’s track, Here You Come Again, achieved platinum status in 1978, and the album earned her a Grammy award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
In 1980, Dolly starred in her first film, 9 to 5, alongside Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda and released her hit song of the same name.
The star opened her famed amusement park, Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in 1986.
Later that year, she was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
At 75 years old, Dolly recreated her 1978 Playboy Cover for her husband Carl Dean’s birthday.
In May 2022, it was announced that Dolly would officially be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, alongside Eminem, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Eurythmics, Duran Duran, and Pat Benatar.

FAMILY PRAYERS

On Tuesday, Dolly’s sister Frieda Parton begged for prayers for the songstress in a concerning Facebook post.

Alongside a photo of the singer, Frieda penned, “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately.

“I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”

Frieda’s post continued, “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”

After fans rushed to the comments concerned, Frieda clarified in her own words on Facebook, “I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious.

“She’s been a little under the weather and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer.
