The ex Eastenders star shared her feelings towards the rapper as she left the Jungle tonight.

EastEnders actress Shona McGarty has broken her silence after rumours of  a romance between her and rapper Aitch swirled in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.The star became the latest celeb to get voted out, finishing in third place just a day after Aitch came fourth. ITV’s Ant and Dec quizzed Shona on her time in the jungle, showing a montage of her best moments with Aitch. When asked why she and Aitch struck up such a bond, she said that she feels like his “older sister”, appearing to quash fan theories.

It comes after Aitch also insisted they were ‘just friends’. He said: “Obviously, I’ve not watched the show, so I don’t know what’s been put out there in any way or anything. But it was nothing like that.” The rapper said that he and Shona were “cut from the same cloth” and have the “same sense of humour”.

He added: “Knowing that she’s trying to come out of the jungle and pursue this music career – and me having a music career – it was just more like, there’s only really me and Martin (Kemp) she can speak to about certain things.

“And I think just because of my age, no one’s going to say that she had a romance with Martin. So unfortunately, I’m the next option. So romantic? No, not at all. Not at all.”

Rumours were sparked after Aitch and Shona spent a lot a close and tender moments together. The musician even opened up about his feelings to Angry Ginge and admitted: “I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Shona, me.”

After the scene aired, host Dec confessed that he was shocked by the admission and said: “This came completely out of the blue this morning. It’s been a while since we’ve had a proper romance on this show. We’d love to see it… we would celebrate it.”

However, Shona and Aitch’s fellow camper, Ruby Wax, has previously said that Aitch was not Shona’s type.

She said: “He’s not her type at all. She said she likes hunky, bigger men so that she feels female, so he wasn’t on the list at all.”

The pair both entered the jungle single, as Shona broke up with her musician fiancé, David Bracken, earlier this year.

According to insiders say the split was amicable, and he recently wished her all the best for the jungle on social media. Aitch is also single after splitting with Lois Cottam before going into the jungle.
