The mother of I’m A Celeb’s Shona McGarty has given her seal of approval to rapper Aitch, describing him as a “lovely boy” amidst rumours of a blossoming jungle romance.

Jennifer, a retired school business manager, revealed that the pair’s playful pillow fight – which culminated in Aitch wrapping his legs around Shona – has been her favourite moment so far. Speculation about a potential romance between Mancunian Aitch, 25, and Shona was ignited when he confessed to his mate Angry Ginge that he has a “soft spot” for her.

Another fan commented: “Aitch and Shona staring into each others eyes.” It’s not just fans who seem to be rooting for the pair though, with friends and family also commenting.

Aitch’s close pal and manager said the pair could make a “nice couple”. Shona’s sister Camila had her say too, and said: “He is a nice guy… I would definitely have him around for Christmas .”

Jennifer commented on the pair: “I think they are very similar characters. They’ve both got that playfulness. He is a lovely boy. We would definitely invite him over for dinner.” Jennifer hinted at a potential romance, saying they could be “great mates” and adding: “Who knows.

Aitch, whose real name is Harrison Armstrong, broke up with his girlfriend Lois Cottam before heading into the Australian jungle. Meanwhile, Shona recently ended her engagement to her guitarist partner David Bracken, 38.She also bravely opened up about her five-year battle with anxiety and depression prior to entering the jungle.

Shona left her role as Whitney Dean on BBC One’s EastEnders after 16 years in 2023. She is now pursuing a career in music.

Shona, who recently released her debut single, Unapologetically Me, has left both her campmates and viewers in awe with her stunning voice, belting out classics like Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers during a storm.
