Someone else wrote: “It’s a Friday night and I am emotional about Buzz Fletcher on stage with his dad on Children In Need.”

Last night, it was revealed that Children In Need had raised a huge £45million.

It comes as radio DJ Sara Cox completed her 135-mile Great Northern Marathon challenge for Children In Need and raised a huge sum in the process.

This gruelling task required Sara to cover a staggering 135 miles on foot across five days, a distance equivalent to running five marathons back-to-back.

The challenge began on Monday, November 10, and concluded on Friday, November 14, making it Radio 2’s longest-ever challenge in terms of duration.

She carried the beloved Pudsey Bear backpack throughout the entire trek, completing a symbolic journey to get the mascot from the Scottish border to the town that shares its name.

Sara’s intense effort has been matched by the incredible generosity of the BBC Radio 2 listeners, resulting in a monumental fundraising total.

Crossing the finish line, Sara found out she had raised a whopping £7.6MILLION.

Sara said when crossing the finish line: “That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
