Brooklyn Beckham has faced huge backlash after launching an astonishing attack on his parents as he finally addressed their long-standing feud on Monday.

The eldest son of David and Victoria, 26, took to Instagram to share a six-page statement, where he said he has no wishes to reconcile with his family and is standing up for himself ‘for the first time in my life’.

Not holding back, the chef went as far as to say he had been ‘controlled by parents that value public promotion above all else’ and since marrying wife Nicola Peltz, 31,  he has found ‘peace and relief’ after battling crippling anxiety.

He claimed his mother Victoria, 51, and dad David, 50, had ‘endlessly tried’ to ruin his relationship with the billionaire heiress as the ex Spice Girl cancelled making the bridal gown at the ‘eleventh hour’ before ‘hijacking’ their first dance.

Despite the numerous accusations in his explosive statement, followers accused Brooklyn of being a ‘spoilt brad’ and ‘never working a day in his life’ who owed everything to the Beckham name.

Taking to X they fumed: ‘Free Brooklyn Beckham from his terrible life of servitude’: ‘Brooklyn Beckham never worked a hard day in his life. Spoilt brat who is only famous for the surname. Trying to make out he is the victim. Rich spoilt baby. If it wasn’t for the surname, you’d be irrelevant in this world and your wife wouldn’t even want to know you. Clown!’

In his statement Brooklyn also hit out at his father, as he said he was in the UK to attend David’s 50th celebrations, but claimed repeated requests to see him beforehand were ignored and  ‘when he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited’.

In an impassioned statement, Brooklyn wrote: ‘I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.

‘Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

‘I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.

‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.

‘The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.

‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always come out.’

Brooklyn went on to address his wedding to Nicola, claiming there had been repeated attempts to ruin their relationship.

He wrote: ‘My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.

‘My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.’

‘Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.

‘They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated.

‘My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.

‘During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me “evil” because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table, because they both didn’t have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.

‘Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders.

‘Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer.’

Cruz previously claimed Brooklyn had blocked his entire family on social media following reports they had unfollowed him.

‘My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I,’ Cruz wrote.

Brooklyn went on to talk about his first dance at the wedding with Nicola, which he claimed was hijacked by his mother.

He said he was ‘so uncomfortable and humiliated’ they decided to renew their vows on their third wedding anniversary.

His family – including brothers Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20,  and sister Harper, 14, – were not present to watch him renew his vows in New York’s Westchester County on August 2.

Brooklyn continued: ‘In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.

‘I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.’
