Andrew Tate’s return to combat sports didn’t go as planned as the kickboxer-turned-influencer was defeated by Chase DeMoor at Misfits Mania – The Fight before Christmas.

The main event had been heavily promoted due to Tate’s return, and the influencer seemed ready for the battle and potential to become Misfits champion.

The fight, however, didn’t go as planned. Tate looked out of sorts from the third round and eventually lost to DeMoor via majority decision after the six-round battle. Tate was magnanimous in defeat and congratulated his opponent after the clash.

Some on social media had been asking Tate to take on other influencers, with Jake Paul being named. One account on X wanted Tate to fight Paul next. ‘The Problem Child’ lost to former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua on Friday.

Paul has fought many big names already in his career, but Tate wasn’t so keen on duking it with the former Disney star. The influencer posted his take on X and added he wasn’t ready for Paul:

“I’m not ready for Jake. Time is the fire in which we all burn. Fighting is for young men.”

Tristan Tate reacts to brother’s loss vs. Chase DeMoor

Andrew Tate’s brother, Tristan, saw all the action and shared his thoughts on the loss to Chase DeMoor.

Tristan admitted that age could have been a factor in the defeat and possibly ring rust too. He lauded Andrew for testing himself and promised bigger and better things in the future.

“My brother is twice the man he was 10 years ago. But he’s not the same fighter. He conquered kickboxing as a younger man, he’s never been afraid to test himself, never afraid to take on new challenges, and I love and respect him for it. It’s been a tough few years for us both. Onto bigger and newer challenges. Plenty of new lands to conquer.”
