TYSON FURY has posted footage sparring with world champion Kevin Lerena as he continues to tease a comeback in 2026.

Fury retired last January following two points losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024 – spending the year out of the ring and filming his reality show for Netflix.

But Fury has been hinting at a return this year – even uploading pictures of his sons wearing a Rocky-inspired T-shirt of the Gypsy King with the wording “I’m back.”

The picture shows Fury carrying a huge log on his back like Sylvester Stallone’s character as he preapres to fight Ivan Drago in Rocky VI.

The two-time heavyweight world champion is out in Thailand training with his family and Lerena – who has held the WBC bridgerweight belt since 2024.

Fury, 37, and South African Lerena, 33, even had a body spar with training ramping up ahead of a potential return.

Tyson shares poignant clip of AJ discussing ‘how fast life goes’ after crash

His promoter Frank Warren previously told SunSport of Fury’s intention to fight again this year.

Warren said: “I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago, because he’s been travelling and it’s simplistic with Tyson, ‘You know, what my requirements are, if they get met, I’ll be there on the night.’

“He’s said he wants to. I know he’s sort of been training, not training to fight, but he’s been ticking over and keeping himself fairly well.”

Fury looked set for a return bout around April time before looking to face Anthony Joshua in a blockbuster clash in September.

But Joshua, 36, was involved in a horror car crash in Nigeria, just weeks after beating YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, 28, in Miami.

Joshua survived the smash but his two friends Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami passed away.

AJ was hospitalised and later released with Latif and Sina’s bodies being carried back to the UK for their funerals.

Hall of Fame promoter Warren sent his well-wishes to Joshua and admitted his fighting future will now be in doubt.

He told ITV: “This is an awful time for everyone involved and hopefully AJ has come out of it physically well.

“But mentally is another issue. I don’t even know if he’ll have the appetite to fight again or if he will fight again, that is something that only time will tell.”
