Former Lioness Alex Scott became the first contestant voted off I’m A Celebrity on Friday night — an exit that shocked many viewers, especially after the 41-year-old star hinted that the experience inside the jungle was tougher, more pressurised, and far more complicated than audiences might realise.

Alex’s departure came unexpectedly. She was widely expected to be safe, especially as comedian Eddie Kadi — the predicted first exit — was exempt from the public vote after winning the live trial. With Eddie safe, Alex suddenly became vulnerable, and the result left fans stunned.

Moments after her name was announced, Alex received loud applause from her campmates. She collected her bag quickly, glanced around the camp one last time, and walked away for the final time — but it was only during her sit-down with Ant and Dec that she finally opened up.

“It feels strange,” she admitted. “Mentally, it has been tough. But I’m glad I did it with such incredible campmates — the laughter, the bonding, it was real.”

The pair’s relationship began in 2023 after a chance meeting at Chiltern Firehouse — a moment Alex described as an “instant spark”. Her time in the jungle marked the longest period the couple had spent apart.
