Katie Price is reportedly moving to Dubai and is said to have already put a deposit down on a house but her move across the world may not be as simple as moving closer to her new husband

Katie Price is reportedly fleeing the UK for Dubai – and not just for the winter. The former glamour model is said to be buying a property there and is thought to have already put down a deposit. But despite splashing the cash on a new home, a source tells the Mirror that she’s had no choice but to move due to her financial issues.

At the peak of her career, Katie, 47, was rumoured to worth an estimated £45 million, thanks to brand endorsements, book deals and countless realty TV shows. Since then, she has been declared bankrupt twice, including in 2024 after she racked up a tax bill of over £760,000. She is making her money again thanks to documentaries, a deal with picture agency Backgrid and by selling content on OnlyFans.

Katie was ordered to use 40% of her OnlyFans income to pay off the her debts, in a deal that is set to last until February next year. Other than her debts, her bank account has reportedly shrunk due to a series of expensive cosmetic surgeries. The Daily Mail claimed the star had spent £84,000 on changing the size of her breasts alone.

A source told The Mirror that these financial issues have Katie running to Dubai. “Katie owes a lot of money here, she feels the press always give her a bad time.”

They claimed that Katie’s money struggles means she cannot afford to keep living in the UK on one income so is moving in with her new husband Lee Andrews who is based in Dubai,

The source says, “Katie doesn’t have the money to keep renting a place in the UK. She’ll be with Lee in Dubai and try and have a based at a friend’s place in the UK. She won’t have a house here. If she moves, she moves. Lee’s business is in Dubai. She’s always liked Dubai.

As the Mirror previously reported, Lee spent time in a Dubai prison late last year and there are claims he is not able to leave the country.

The source adds, “Katie’s guy knows Dubai like the back of his hand. Both of them want a new start, especially Katie. She also doesn’t have much of a choice – if she wants to properly make a future with Lee, she’s going to have to make that choice.”

Katie’s relationship with Lee was a shock to many fans. She initially struck up a connection with him over social media but soon flew out to Dubai to meet properly. The two quickly got engaged and, in a matter of days, were married. Katie shared the images of the whirlwind romance online, which was just a few weeks after splitting from Married At First Sight star JJ Slater.

Her family are reportedly very worried about Katie and her new man. “Katie’s not listening to any of her family members and they’re all very worried about her,” the source explained.

“She’s going to be in the press the whole time with this guy – he loves it – and they’re going to be very worried, in some ways, terrified. Of course, it’s going to put a massive strain [on their relationships].”

It is not yet known how this will impact Katie’s relationships with her children, Junior, 20, and Princess Andre, 18, as they are grown up and living their own lives. However, some have wondered what this means for her eldest child, Harvey.

The 23-year-old has a complex combination of learning difficulties and disabilities that require a lot of care. These include septo-optic dysplasia, which affects, hormone levels and eyesight, Prader-Willi Syndrome, a genetic disorder that results in weak muscle tone, chronic hunger and behavioural issues, and autism. He is currently living in an independent living facility that provides 24 hour help where needed.

Our source explained that Katie would not be bringing Harvey to Dubai with her. “Katie is a great mum to Harvey, the last thing she’d ever do is abandon him. But she doesn’t want to upset his routine or living situation where he’s happy. So she plans to move to Dubai, leave him behind in the UK and then fly back and forth regularly to see him whenever he wants to be with his mum. If she wants this marriage to work, it’s the only way.”

This is Katie’s fourth marriage, and her ninth engagement. The star has previously been married to Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler, while she has previously been engaged to Warren Furman, Scott Sullivan, Leandro Penna, Kris Boyson and Carl Woods.

A source previously explained to Mirror that Katie “throws herself” into relationships. “She always says the same thing [about being happy alone and not needing a man in her life] but she’ll be throwing herself into the next relationship,” they said. “She wants to find a husband and can’t cope without being with a partner. It wouldn’t be surprising if she hasn’t got someone lined up already.”

For Katie, moving to Dubai is a fresh start and our source says both she and Lee are “encouraging” the other. “They’re both encouraging each other and saying ‘What are we staying at home for?’ This is all new beginnings, especially for Katie.”

“They find it exciting,” the source added. “The sunshine, everything looks glam out there and everything’s fresh and sparkly and brand new in Dubai. Katie is running away from all her problems here. She thinks Dubai and this new guy is the answer. We’ll wait and see. Katie wants a fresh start and new beginnings.”
