Jess Glynne has posted a heartfelt tribute to girlfriend Alex Scott as the football pundit prepares to jet back to Britain following her jungle exit.

The Lioness, 41, became the first celebrity to depart I’m A Celebrity this week and disclosed she won’t be remaining in Australia until the series concludes as she’s eager to support her partner after her mum suffered a stroke.

The eliminated stars typically remain at the hotel until the finale, but Alex explained she’s determined to return to Jess, stating she wants “to go home and be her rock.”

Meanwhile, Jess has maintained her unwavering support for Alex – and last night, she expressed her excitement about her partner’s homecoming.

She posted on social media: “Forever a winner! She walked in that jungle and was nothing but herself from start to finish. We see you, we saw you and we love you! I can’t wait to have you home my woman.”

In her Instagram upload, Jess was spotted sporting a green T-shirt featuring Alex’s photograph and the message ‘Alex for the win!’ emblazoned across it.

The vocalist also posted footage of herself and several mates donning identical t-shirts in solidarity with Alex, reports the Mirror.

Following Alex’s elimination, Jess expressed her belief that she wasn’t given sufficient screen time on the programme.

Jess penned: “My woman might be out far earlier than she ever deserved, but I’m so unbelievably proud of her. She didn’t get the airtime to show how incredible she really is, and trust me, this is only the beginning.”

Jess also disclosed why she couldn’t meet Alex on the I’m A Celeb bridge, revealing her mother recently suffered a “major stroke and underwent brain surgery.”

She wrote: “I know people will wonder why I wasn’t there at the end of the bridge, so I wanted to share something personal.

“Over the last few weeks my mum suffered a major stroke and needed urgent brain surgery. It’s been really serious, life-altering time for my family and I’ve had to stay close to home.”

She added: “I can’t wait to have her back by my side.”

Alex revealed she contemplated withdrawing from the programme given the difficult circumstances at home – but Jess insisted she should travel to Australia and compete in the show.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
