Claims of the Astronomer saga being predicted by ‘The Simpsons’ have been fact-checked. And, turns out that they’re all false.

Images of Simpson-themed drawings of Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot have been circulating online following the pair’s exposure at Coldplay’s concert in Boston on Wednesday night. Various social media users have stated that the incident was predicted by the show.

“The Simpsons predicted the CEO cheating on his wife at the Coldplay concert!!” one wrote.

“Did the Simpsons really predict the Coldplay Concert incident in a 2003 episode??” another asked.

“So the Simpsons predicted the CEO Andy Byron scandal … 😭😩” one post read.

So Did The Astronomer Fiasco First Appear On ‘The Simpsons?’

While the series appears to have predicted many real-world events, this new saga was not one of them, though there’s a kiss cam scene in one episode.

The images appear to be AI-generated and have never been seen in any episode. We asked an AI bot, which confirmed that “the image does not appear in any official episode of The Simpsons.”

It added:

“Multiple outlets and Simpsons databases confirmed it was AI-generated, likely created using tools like Midjourney or DALL·E.”

As fun as it is to believe that ‘The Simpsons’ called this one, unfortunately, it’s not true.
