TV presenter Jasmine Harman has revealed the unexpected difference she ‘can’t get used to’ about life in Spain after moving from the UK.

The 50-year-old property expert on Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun moved her family to the Costa del Sol in Spain in 2023, after years of dreaming of a better lifestyle balance.

She is currently documenting the move and renovation of her family’s new home on the new Channel 4 series, Jasmine’s Renovation in the Sun.

But while there have been challenges with the move, Jasmine revealed she is struggling to get used to one major difference from life in the UK.

She shared a video of her walking through the gate of her home with her dog, then putting on a jacket and then reaching for a coat and scarf as soon as she entered her property.

Jasmine wrote: “POV It’s winter time but you live in Spain. No, really… why is it soooo cold indoors? I literally have to put my coat on when I come inside.

“Or go outside in the sun to get warm. I can’t get used to it! Have you experienced this?”

She was flooded with responses from people who quickly agreed with her. One wrote: “Me!! Every single day! Its warmer outside than inside,im wrapped up like an onion inside.”

Another shared: “The truth…..when I moved to Estepona I couldn’t believe it. Each year I wore more layers and bought more heaters. Yet I could teach yoga outside on the grass all year round!!!”

Jasmine lives with her husband Jon Boast and their children, Joy and Albion.

They have been transforming a dilapidated 1980s villa on Spain’s Costa del Sol into their forever home. But it hasn’t been smooth running, with Jasmine running into budget issues and more.

Previously speakig about the property, Jasmine revealed it was a ‘complete wreck’. She said on Instagram: “I told you I’d seen a property that really surprised me, in an unexpected way.

“So the big surprise was the place was a complete wreck, a renovation project. “And I’ve fallen in love with it. So it’s a bit scary, it’s very exciting.

“I’ve never done a renovation project in Spain before. I’m sure it’s going to be stressful at times but I hope very much that it will be worth it in the end. I can’t tell you too much more right now, honestly i don’t want to jinx it, but I will keep you posted.”
