Graham Foster could be playing a dangerous game on Emmerdale, with a secret downfall twist.

Fans are suspecting Graham’s real reasons for coming back could be tied in with a hidden agenda. Since his return, he has vowed to make it up to Joe Tate, who was and is like a son to him.

Fans know that Graham was killed off in 2020, only to be confirmed alive in January this year. Joe has not taken the news well after years of grief, and in order to trust him again he’s basically told him he needs to work for him.

Graham is appearing as his sort of ‘yes man’, with Joe making it clear he will be out of his life if he doesn’t support him and stay on his side. Amid Graham spending time with Cain Dingle amid his wife Moira Dingle’s prison hell, Graham’s loyalty to Joe has been tested.

As well as Graham being sickened over Joe’s treatment of Moira and Cain, as well as the Sugdens, we’ve also seen Graham betraying Joe to advise his enemy Cain. Joe is trying to get his hands on Moira and Cain’s farm land, forcing them to sell up.

He played a part in Moira’s trouble with the law, framing her to make it seem she was in cahoots with drug trafficker and human trafficker Celia Daniels. Moira was soon charged with double murder after two bodies were found on her land, those being Celia and trafficking victim Anya.

With Joe piling on the pressure to get the farm, the Dingles are not the only ones unimpressed by how low Joe will go. Graham told Joe he wasn’t impressed by his behaviour, and after that we saw Graham lending some support to Cain, which will continue.

This has sparked a theory though that Graham isn’t helping Joe at all, and is actually working against him. Fans are convinced that Graham’s back to bring Joe down, possibly working undercover to get close to him and then expose him.

Not only that, but they think Graham’s real plan is to get close to Joe to find out what he needs to to save Moira, as well as save the Dingles’ farm. The theory suggests at the end, Graham will reveal his plan all along was to help them, and get rid of Joe.

One theory online says: “Graham is soooo not on Joe’s side at all – he’s undercover for the police isn’t he???!!!” Another fan said: “Think Graham is going to bring Joe down.”

A third added: “Graham’s face when Kim said she prefers the long game! Yeah and Graham’s playing it!!” as a fourth wrote: “100% he’s going to get Moira out.” A fifth fan said: “I really hope Graham takes Joe down & helps Moira & Cain.”
