Moment Kate sprints past her security to greet a well-wisher with flowers – as fans go wild for her ‘off script’ behaviour
This is the moment the Princess of Wales went ‘off script’ and sprinted towards a fan with flowers during her latest outing.
Kate, 44, and Prince William are currently in Scotland, where they are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, for a two-day visit to promote the country’s heritage traditions.
Despite a busy schedule, William and Kate warmly greeted well-wishers waiting outside a tartan-weaving studio before departing for their next engagement in Falkirk.
But not before Kate dashed past members of her security team after she noticed a fan in the crowd looking disappointed to see them go without accepting her flowers.
The woman’s face lit up as Kate ran towards her, thanked her for the bouquet, and posed for a selfie in an authentic interaction that left social media users delighted.
One person wrote on YouTube that Kate and William – who appeared in good spirits as he mingled with members of the public – ‘must drive their security crazy [by] going off script’ all the time.
‘But that is why the people love them so much.’
Captioning photos of the princess running in high-heeled boots, an X user said ‘only she would do that’, adding that it was a ‘beautiful reminder of how deeply she truly cares about people’.

Another quipped she was ‘getting a workout in with those boots’ while a third said noted her ‘perfect poise even while running in heels’.
Others felt both Kate and William are very ‘thoughtful’ and appreciate how much ‘it means to those gathered to see them’.
One person felt that Kate probably ‘reminded’ William of his late mother, Princess Diana, because of the way the admiring crowds reacted to her.
The Prince and Princess of Wales kicked off a busy day of engagements in Scotland with a visit to the iconic Kelpies before making their way to the National Curling Academy in Stirling, where they tried their hand at the sport.
This was followed by a masterclass in weaving tartan at local studio Radical Weavers where Kate had a go on the loom while William – ever the gentleman – patiently held her navy blue Savile Row coat.
Kate, who has never worn the tartan jacket before, paired it with a black turtleneck, matching skirt, and boots from Gianvito Rossi.
For their final stop of the day, Kate and William headed to ‘The Goth’ – short for The Gothenburg – a pub in Falling, a former mining village four miles east of Stirling.
Upon entering The Goth, William revealed that he ‘absolutely loves pubs’ and wants to help as he sat with a group of local men.
Kate refused a drink as she sat down at a table to speak to local school teachers while William nursed half a pint of cider.

During their visit to Falkir, William and Kate couldn’t keep their hands off one another while chatting with well-wishers on a walkabout, with William putting his arm around Kate to pose for a photo with a fan
William and Kate looked more in love than ever during their visit to Stirling as they snuck in sweet, romantic gestures while carrying out their engagements.
They couldn’t keep their hands off one another while chatting with well-wishers on a walkabout, with William putting his arm around Kate to pose for a photo with a fan.
In one instance, William – ever the gentleman – helped his wife come onto the ice at the National Curling Academy in Stirling while they tried their hand at the sport, carefully guiding her, and making sure she’s safe.
Though they’re known for their competitive streaks, both were pictured smiling profusely at the other’s efforts as they took part.
William started confidently, with the princess uttering words of support, saying: ‘You’re doing very well.’
Elsewhere, while Kate was undertaking a lesson in weaving tartan at Radical Weavers, a studio and independent charity, her husband dutifully held her custom coat in the background, letting the princess take centre stage.
