WNBA – Angel Reese – the injustices she has to endure – why does Caitlin Clark always get more favor?

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is generally active on social media. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer has a league-best 159 million followers on Instagram, and another 52.8 million on X.

Using his massive platform to speak on different topics, James is a regular supporter of Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark. Following her return from injury on June 14, a game in which she led Indiana to victory over the then-unbeaten New York Liberty, Clark drew praise from James who welcomed her back with a post on X.

“The CC EFFECT!!” he exclaimed in his post. “WELCOME BACK! You were missed!”

Just one day after this post from James, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese tallied her first career WNBA triple-double. James faced backlash from fans that day for not acknowledging Reese’s performance the way he did Clark’s, and a similar trend is taking place once again.

On Tuesday, Reese was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week. This honor came after a torrid stretch of play that included dominant showing in Los Angeles that saw Reese tally 24 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists.

Following that game, James was again called out for his silence, and the post has been going viral with over 7.6 million views on X.

Many WNBA fans flooded the comments with criticism of James.

“Obviously, doesn’t see as much clout and attention in speaking highly of anyone but CC…and well, we all know that’s all he wants,” one fan wrote.

“Yea I fw Bron but he do be on some [expletive] when it comes to angel Reese lol,” said another.

“He’s not gonna post about her. He’s my favorite player OAT but I’m disappointed that he doesn’t show support towards her fr,” one added.

“He only like the floppers in the league,” said one.

Like the last time James was called out over this topic, the response has not been unanimous. Others take no issue with him posting about Clark, but that has not stopped the criticism from pouring in.

“He doesnt really ever tweet about Reese. He has post about CC on multiple occasions,” said another.

“Got to give her flowers when she put up numbers like this. Has to go both ways,” one added.

“She’s in your town, at your workplace right now @KingJames,” one pointed out since this game was at Crypto.com Arena in LA.
