King Charles made an emotional confession about a job he must complete before he “shuffles off this mortal coil” in a new documentary, which airs next week.

Last night (Wednesday, January 28) saw the premiere of Charles’ new documentary movie, Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision, take place at Windsor Castle.

King Charles’ emotional confession

King Charles’ new documentary, which airs on Amazon Prime video on Friday, February 6, takes a deep dive into his environmental work over the years.

The 90-minute film looks at all the work Charles has done over the past 50 years to raise awareness about the environmental issues impacting our world.

The documentary also sees the king make an emotional confession about the job he needs to do before he passes on.

Maybe, by the time I shuffle off this mortal coil, there might be a little more awareness.

“It all boils down to the fact that we are actually nature ourselves, we are a part of it, not apart from it, which is really how things are being presented for so long,” he says, as reported by The Times.

“Maybe, by the time I shuffle off this mortal coil, there might be a little more awareness… of the need to bring things back together again.”

The premiere for the king’s new documentary took place at Windsor Castle last night. It was a star-studded ceremony, with several famous faces in attendance.

As well as documentary narrator Kate Winslet, the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Rod Stewart, Jools Holland, Judi Dench, and Stanley Tucci were also all in attendance.

The king was joined by several royals for the event, too. Along with his wife, Queen Camilla, the king was accompanied by his sister-in-law, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, as well as his first cousin once removed, Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, and his wife, Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester.

However, the likes of Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne weren’t at the event.

So, what can we expect from the new documentary?

Of the movie, Amazon said: “Using a mix of stunning cinematography, unique interviews, and fascinating storytelling, the film will document how this vision has sparked a global movement, with examples including food production, urbanism, community regeneration, sustainable textiles, and traditional skills—inspiring similar projects worldwide.

“It also features The King’s own reflections on his lifelong commitment to promoting a sustainable world, as he views special archive footage from across the decades.”

Kristina Murrin, chief executive at The King’s Foundation, has also said that the documentary will show a different side to the king.

“You do get to see him as quite an informal person, telling you about what he believes in, which is not how we tend to normally see him,” she said.
