Hoda Kotb has made her return to Today just four months after she stepped down from her role on the show.
The popular anchor appeared as a guest alongside Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin and while she was there, she took the opportunity to deny claims that she would be making her return to daily television. Asked about rumors that she was going to replace Kelly Clarkson Hoda very quickly shot down the speculation.
She told Craig: “Delete. Not true,” before adding: “Do you think, if I ever came back to TV, do you know where the only place where I would ever come back to is? Right here!” She appeared on the show to announce her new wellness business Joy 101.
The venture will feature an app that will allow users access to personalized meditation sessions, courses and conversations. Hoda is also planning live events and “happiness hours,” which will run alongside her initiative.
While she was adamant she won’t be replacing Kelly she did admit she will be appearing on her talk show next week.

Speaking about her departure from Today back in January, Hoda told Savannah that their “deep conversations that we had daily, that I miss to my core, were such a building block for what I am building now.
“It’s find out what you love. That is what I have been seeking too, and this has been so helpful.”
She also discussed how it has been having more time to spend with her daughters Hope, six, who has type 1 diabetes, and Haley, eight. She said: “You were next to me through it all. You were in the hospital when it all happened.
“You just get a priority check in your life. I can be here and sweating what is happening to Hope in the morning and the night, or I can be there and feel relief that I can see. One thing I have learned about having Hope … is I try not to put my worry on her.”

She admitted that while Hope is fine most of the time “there are just moments where you have to watch her. For 23.5 hours she’s every other kid. So I try to remember that.”
Hoda will also be Jenna Bush Hager’s guest host on Today with Jenna & Friends while she is visiting her old workplace. Jenna, 43, announced to viewers tuning in on Tuesday that Hoda would be her surprise co-host the following day.
She had previously thrown fans off the scent by claiming that her guest star was going to be a former basketball player who had become a best-selling author. Revealing the news, Jenna said: “For one day only, Hoda Kotb is back!” as she confirmed she would be “announcing her new project.”
