Good Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur took to social media with a video that sparked uproar among Royal Family fans. The commentator faced backlash after suggesting that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced more criticism than Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. This comes after the former Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office, after his controversial friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was exposed.

In addition to being in custody for 11 hours, the shamed royal was also previously stripped of his title when his ties in the Epstein files were first unveiled last year. In her scathing post, Narinder stated: “It’s extraordinary if you think about it that this country has spent more time brutally criticising Harry and Meghan than they ever did Prince Andrew. Even after the fact, they still didn’t criticise Andrew, nearly half as much.”

“Did you know that the House of Commons has a convention that prevents MPs from criticising the Royal Family?”

Sharing her concern, Narinder continued: “We don’t know what he did as a Trade Envoy, we don’t know how much of taxpayers’ money he wasted.

“We don’t know that claim that the Queen and King Charles paid £12 million to Virginia Guiffre; we don’t know if that was taxpayers’ money.”

“As taxpayers, what we’re paying in, what we’re getting out, what are they using of taxpayers’ money? There’s no transparency, and this is unacceptable in 2026.”

She added: “Oh, but you’ll criticise Meghan all day long and Harry all day long, you’re still whipping away on that horse but not with the Royal Family. If you want to call yourself a true democracy, we need transparency.”

However, the post was met with backlash as one commented: “Doesn’t this risk tarring everyone in the family with the same brush, including those not involved?”

As another stated: “The finances of the RF are private. Do we have access to your finances? No, because they are private.”

“That’s a lie, no one has supported Andrew, EVERYONE wants him to face justice, and EVERYONE has said it from the start … M & H, have love from some, Andrew is rightly hated,” said a third.

A fourth slammed: “No, they are both heavily criticised, for different reasons & all the information you need about RF is available on Government websites, which you are well aware of.”
