I’m A Celebrity shares first look at South Africa spin-off ahead of new series
ITV have given fans a sneak preview of the upcoming I’m A Celebrity… South Africa series, which will see a string of previous campmates take on the ultimate challenge
I’m A Celeb South Africa is back – and ITV have shared a first look. The new series, which will air in the Spring, will see a string of previous famous faces head to South Africa to be crowned an all-star winner.
During the first episode of Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday Night, bosses gave a glimpse into the new series. The ten-second teaser saw hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly sitting around a campfire, before Ant became alarmed by a mysterious noise.
“What was that?” he asked, as Dec pointed out it was a “big cat”. Instantly, a terrified Ant jolted up, exclaiming: “A big cat?! No way!” before Dec followed him.

Next week, bosses will be sharing another clip during Britain’s Got Talent. In the video, a tired Ant, yawns and stretches before wishing Dec a “goodnight.”
In true Declan style, the Geordie star cheekily warns: “Don’t let the bed bugs bite, the ticks, and the mozzies, and the scorpions, and the sand-eyed spiders, or the kudus, or the baboons…” as Ant gulps in terror.
The first series of I’m A Celeb South Africa, which aired in 2023, raked in more than five million viewers across the week. In recent months, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive about which famous faces could be heading to South Africa for the series.
It’s claimed that reality star Gemma Collins has signed up for the show again. Gemma previously walked out of the camp in Australia after just 72 hours. She said in 2015 about entering for a second time: “Everything would be different a second time. I’d be like Lara Croft and Angelina Jolie rolled into one, and I’d do the tasks.
“I’m not scared of nothing. Hopefully one day the producers may give me another chance.” Meanwhile, Scarlett Moffatt told OK! Magazine: “I absolutely love the show. If I was to go back, I would just soak up every second again because I had such an amazing time the first time around.”
Scarlett continued: “I was a kid, I’d just turned 25. I was starting out in this industry. I really feel like if I got the opportunity to do it again, I know myself more. And I think I would just try and enjoy [it]. I enjoyed it when I was last on, but I think I really worried a little bit because I was like ‘Oh, I don’t want this to go’, I loved it so much that I didn’t want it to end.”
However, Scarlett says that if she were ever fortunate enough to return to the show, she would enjoy it even more. “I would just enjoy it for what it is and not be worried after,” she commented. In a plea to ITV, she said: “Hopefully they put my name down – that would be nice if I was a thought… Just a thought for ITV.”
Other names thrown into the mix are boxer David Haye, Olympic hero Sir Mo Farah, actor Craig Charles, comic Seann Walsh, Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas, singer Sinitta, Pussycat Dolls bombshell Ashley Roberts, former footballer Jimmy Bullard and Corrie’s Beverley Callard.
