IMPORTANT DECISION: Kelvin Fletcher’s Wife Liz Steps Away From Farm Life to Chase a ‘Special’ New Project That Could Change Everything For Their Family

Kelvin Fletcher’s wife Liz has taken some “time out” from farming to pursue a “special” new project.

Liz and former Emmerdale star Kelvin are recognised for their roles in Fletchers’ Family Farm alongside their children Marnie, Milo, Maximus and Mateusz.

Liz is now launching a fresh endeavour as she presents a thrilling festive programme on ITV1.

Fletcher’s Country Workshop features Liz displaying her recently discovered enthusiasm for upcycling, crafting and interior design. The Christmas special, which broadcast on Sunday (December 14), documented Liz as she cultivated her appreciation for home décor whilst refurbishing the family farmhouse and cottage.

In preparation for the festive period, Liz aimed to convert the former stable block into a stunning space suitable for hosting a celebratory Christmas gathering for relatives and friends – and with such an expansive area to fill and ambitious plans, everyone had to pitch in, reports the Mirror.

“Christmas is coming, and this year, I want to create something special on our farm,” Liz stated at the programme’s opening.

“A space where the whole family can craft, make and create together. With Kelvin by my side and our four kids adding the perfect blend of festive fun and chaos.

“I’m taking time out from farming to indulge my newfound passion for interiors and upcycling, drawing inspiration from the incredible landscape that surrounds us in the Peak District.

“Join me as I transform our barn into the perfect space for a Christmas party for our family, filled with handmade touches, all made with love in Fletchers’ Country Workshop.”

Ahead of the celebration, Liz called upon her father’s assistance to construct a workbench, whilst her mother passed on a cherished festive recipe.

Kelvin pitched in by crafting cocktails, whilst the youngsters busied themselves preparing sweet delicacies and seasonal cards. Everything gradually fell into place, with Liz and Kelvin’s loved ones soon descending upon the barn for the festivities.

“After four years of living and working on a farm. It feels really exciting to find time to pursue my newfound passions,” Liz reflected afterwards.

“All the little projects that I’ve had on the go, it’s just made the room really special, It’s got everyone in the Christmas spirit. Things aren’t perfect, but that’s me!”

She continued: “What started as a vision in my head has come together to create a wonderful party space filled with family, friends and fabulous food too. Who knows what I’ll think of next, but transforming this space has certainly been fun.

“It’s really awakened the spark in me of where we can find things that are old or going to be thrown away, and make something amazing with it. It can change every single time into something else… It’s moments like this that you look back on, that’s what it’s all about.”
