Good Morning Britain star Zoe Muldoon QUITS ITV show after six years – and announces brand new job as she’s flooded with support from fans
Good Morning Britain Zoe Muldoon revealed she has quit the ITV breakfast show six years after they first appeared on screen – and already announced a new job.
The TV presenter, who was regularly seen reporting out and about during the show, hosted by Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, took to Instagram to confirm the news.
Zoe, who joined the breakfast programme in 2020, was best known for being part of the early presenter team, hosting the regional news for the North West of England and the Isle of Man.
The star joined the line-up of presenters on a permanent basis in 2021 – but this week, she confirmed she would be stepping back from the ITV show.
She penned to her fans: ‘Saying goodbye to Good Morning Britain… for now! Swapping the early mornings to report for the 6pm news for the next 9-12 months, starting tomorrow.’
Her co-workers and fans were quick to flood the comments section with well-wishes, with one writing back on X, formerly Twitter: ‘You’ll smash it Zoe, we’ll miss you in the mornings.’

Another chimed in: ‘It’s a shame, you will be missed, I hope you enjoy your shift change,’ as a third wrote: ‘Early mornings just won’t be the same.’
Zoe’s not the only person who recently revealed they would be leaving the ITV show, as in December 2025, it was announced Andrew Pierce was stepping back.
Show host Susanna confirmed that Andrew, 64, would no longer be appearing on the ITV programme over clashes in filming schedules.
The GB News presenter, who often appeared alongside Kevin Maguire in segments of the show discussing current affairs, confirmed the news Instagram.
Taking to social media, he said: ‘It’s the end of an era, after a decade of squabbling, fighting, and arguments with Kevin on Good Morning Britain, it’s my last show.
‘Because of the new schedules in the New Year means I can’t be here for all of it, which means that’s my last one, because I’ve got my GB News show to do.
‘It’s been a blast, I’ve had a great time on GMB, but onwards and upwards.’
Good Morning Britain was one of the shows affected by the scheduling shake-ups at ITV, which came into play in January.

The changes to the ITV daytime shows saw Lorraine move to a 30-week schedule with episodes cut to just half an hour from 9:30 to 10am.
This Morning continues to air for two-and-a-half hours from 10am until 12:30pm, while Good Morning Britain has been increased by 30 minutes each day.
Loose Women will continue in its usual slot from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, but episode numbers have been reduced to a 30-week ‘seasonal’ based schedule.
Last year, a huge Loose Women cast update has revealed the fate of every panelist after a ‘tense’ few months of ‘everyone feeling on edge’ amid the ITV daytime cuts.
Back in May, fans were shocked to find out that the popular show, as well as Lorraine, are set to be AXED for half the year – after the channel announced a big shake up to its daytime schedule.
It has left many wondering who will be returning, and luckily the budget cuts will not be affecting those on our screens.
A source told The Sun: ‘It’s been a tense time since the changes were announced in May and everyone has felt on edge, like they’re singing for their supper. So it’s a relief that everyone will broadly remain.
‘It’s true there will be less shifts to go around but there is no intention for the cast to lose any faces.

Lee Peart, a comedian and presenter, has been part of the Loose Women family since 2017, and helps get the crowd ready for the show ahead of it hitting screens on ITV
‘There will be job cuts across the daytime teams but it will be through merging production teams, not touching talent, in regards to Loose Women.’
An ITV spokesperson said: ‘We always said we valued the Loose Women and that we wouldn’t be changing the panel, so viewers can look forward to seeing the familiar line up in the New Year.’
The current presenters include Kaye Adams, 62, Ruth Langsford, 65, Christine Lampard, 46, and Charlene White, 45.
It’s already seen one Loose Women star confirmed to be waving goodbye, as Lee Peart, who serves as a warm-up act for the live studio audience behind-the-scenes of the show, admitted the ‘goodbyes were starting’ now in the lead up to the final show.
But he took to Facebook to announce that he was waving goodbye to the show as he posed for a photo with panellists Ruth Langford, Gloria Hunniford and Kellé Bryan.
Lee, a comedian and presenter, has been part of the Loose Women family since 2017, and helps get the crowd ready for the show ahead of it hitting screens on ITV.
He confirmed that live studio audiences will have just two weeks to see him perform before the show, as he lamented it would be the ‘last time’ he worked alongside his panellist pals.
He penned: ‘Two weeks today will be my final Loose Women! A bittersweet end of an era… the goodbyes are starting as it’s the last time I’ll work with Ruth, Gloria and Kellie in this capacity!’
