Brooklyn Beckham has allegedly blocked his family on social media after his mother, Victoria, liked a post about him cooking a roast chicken. The 26-year-old severed ties with his famous parents, David and Victoria, on Instagram on Sunday (December 21), marking the latest chapter in the ongoing Beckham family saga. Cruz, Brooklyn’s younger brother, confirmed the drastic action, revealing that Brooklyn had put up an Instagram barrier against the entire family.

It was suggested that they reciprocate by unfollowing Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz. In response to the circulating rumours, Cruz took to Instagram hours later to set the record straight. He fumed: “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”

It has since come to light that Brooklyn’s decision to block his family came after Victoria ‘liked’ a video of him demonstrating how to cook a roast chicken. “So it has been beer-brining for the last 24 hours, and I’m just finishing putting some rosemary butter around,” he explained, showcasing the poultry.

“And that is my simple way of making a chicken breast, some potatoes, and vegetables in my Express,” he concluded in the promotional video for the clothing brand, reports the Mirror. Upon noticing Victoria’s ‘like’, fans encouraged Brooklyn to mend fences with his parents.

Taking to the comments section, one user enthused: “Victoria liked this post. Yay! ! ! Family is everything,” as another chimed in: “Go cook with your Dad. Looks yummy.”

One user advised: “Speak to your parents – only one life, and it is very precious,” while a fourth chimed in with: “U sound and look like your dad. Make contact.”

It comes after The Sun reported that Brooklyn was irked by his mum’s public display of affection, leading him to block the entire family – including his father, David, brothers Romeo and Cruz, and little sister, Harper.

Express.co.uk has reached out to Brooklyn Beckham’s representatives for a comment. As a result of being blocked, the Beckham clan will be unable to view any future posts that Brooklyn uploads.

It’s believed that Brooklyn won’t be joining his family at their £10million Cotswolds residence for Christmas this year, despite their various attempts to extend an olive branch. Instead, he’ll be spending the festive season with Nicola’s family in Miami.

A source told the press: ‘It appears that Brooklyn has blocked them to show them that’s it, this is final. It is very clear that this is a sign of his complete estrangement from his family”.

The ongoing family feud kicked off earlier this year when Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from David’s grand 50th birthday celebration in May. He also failed to publicly wish his father a happy birthday on social media.
