Good Morning Britain viewers were left up in arms minutes into the ITV breakfast show after spotting one major issue. One of the biggest stories that has been dominating the news this week is Lord Peter Mandelson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s involvement in the ongoing Epstein scandal. On Thursday morning (February 5), hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley opened the show with a new exclusive from political commentator Louisa James.

Reporting live from outside No. 10, the broadcaster informed viewers that Starmer’s days in Downing Street could be numbered after he admitted that he knew about Mandelson’s friendship with Epstein when he appointed him last year. But fans have argued that because the hosts are dedicating so much time to the latest developments in the ongoing scandal, other worthy stories are being left by the wayside.

Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – viewers shared their frustrations with the news programme’s coverage of UK news online. One user asked: “When will GMB talk about the grooming gang inquiry?” as another added: “WHY ARE YOU NOT COVERING THE MURDER AT THE UNIVERSITY??”

A third chimed in with: “GMB, please find some new stories! Between this, Andrew MB and the PM, you have literally nothing better to do. We get it, I’ve started watching Homes Under the Hammer at 7am instead!”
