ITV daytime viewers were left in tears as one This Morning star said her final goodbyes after 220 jobs were cut by the broadcaster.
This Morning viewers were left devastated as one star left the ITV show after 16 years. The broadcaster is cutting more than 220 jobs and slashing the runtime of some of its daytime schedule in 2026, as well as relocating some programmes from Television Centre to The H Club in Covent Garden.
Now fashion editor and stylist Amber Jackson has confirmed her exit from her “dream job” in a devastating statement. Posting to Instagram, Amber waved goodbye to various locations around the ITV studios, visiting the costume department, the This Morning set and the exterior of the building.
She wrote: “POV: You’re leaving your dream job in telly after 16 years. The fashion cupboard is empty, but my heart is full.

“Farewell, This Morning. Thank you for the memories.”
Amber first announced the news two weeks ago, telling fans: “The last hurrah! Some big news to share… at the end of the year, after 16 incredible years, I’m leaving This Morning.
“Even though I made this decision a while ago, it doesn’t make it any easier to say. I feel so lucky to have called this work for over a decade… from making over the most inspiring women to squeezing the Love Island boys into swim trunks (a skill not taught in fashion school), I’ve done it all.”
She added: “The things I’ve seen, done and overheard… there really is no job like it.. As the show enters a new era, it feels like the perfect moment for me to step into my own. This job has been my baby for so long, but it’s time to hand it over and prioritise my little family.
“But don’t worry, this isn’t the end of the outfit inspo and celeb styling… if anything, prepare to see a whole lot more as I dive into freelance and becoming my own boss… and I can’t wait to take you with me.”
Her emotional co-stars poured into the comments section, with Rochelle Humes writing: “Miss you already!” Lisa Snowdon echoed: “Love you honey!”
One fan gushed: “Aw Amber, how emosh! Wishing you the very best in what you do next, what an amazing journey.”
“Oh Amber, this got me good. The next chapter will be amazing,” another posted with a broken heart emoji.
