Vicky Pattison has told Strictly Come Dancing fans she’ll ‘continue to work hard’ as she reflected on reaching the mid-way point of the competition.

She is partnered in the competition with professional dancer Kai Widdrington. The pair have so far made it through to week seven of the BBC One dance contest, which takes place live in the ballroom this Saturday (November 8).

And the former Geordie Shore star hasn’t shied away from saying that appearing on the show was a ‘dream’ of hers, and that her nerves have now and again got the better of her as she goes out of her comfort zone and tries to make the most of her opportunity.

Now, Vicky has addressed fans who have kept her and Kai performing so far, with the annual Blackpool special now in sight, ahead of the grand final in December.

Sharing pictures of their journey so far on Instagram, Vicky said: “We’ve made it halfway… Just an appreciation post really… not only for this lovely fella [Kai] but for you guys too!!!

“Having the opportunity to do @bbcstrictly was something that for a long time I could only dream of- but here I am! Dancing with the best partner a girl could ask for @kaiwidd and having reached the mid point in this competition- THANKS TO YOU BLOODY LOVELY LOT.

“I don’t know whether I give you all your flowers enough but I just wanted to say that I know we’re here because of you.. and we’re both so grateful! You’re making a little girl with a lot of self doubt become one hell of a happy woman with abit of confidence!!! SO THANKYOU!!!”

She added: “You’re all the ducks nuts and we love you!!! And I will continue to work as hard as I bloody can to try and stay in this competition.”
