They’ve sold more Christmas singles than The Beatles and built a devoted fanbase of nearly three million followers — but fame has come at a heavy price for Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, better known as LadBaby and LadBaby Mum.

The couple have finally spoken out about the “cheating video” scandal that once threatened to destroy their marriage — and the vile trolling that followed.

Mark first rose to fame in 2016 after launching his “LadBaby” blog about becoming a dad for the first time. Alongside Roxanne, his down-to-earth parenting hacks and cheeky humour quickly turned them into internet sensations.

But their family brand was rocked when an 18-second clip surfaced online, showing a man resembling Mark allegedly groping another woman in a nightclub. In the footage, the man appeared to touch the woman’s bottom and wrap his arms around her — sparking viral claims of infidelity.

Mark wrote: “It started with DMs in early 2022 — someone demanded £5,000 or they’d leak a video. We ignored it, thinking it was just a scam. Then they emailed asking for £10,000 and attached the clip.

That’s when we saw it for the first time.”

The pair reported the incident to police, but the accounts disappeared. Eventually, the clip surfaced on TikTok — and the abuse exploded.

“I don’t think people realise the damage trolling can do,” Mark said. “The police even assigned anti-terror officers to advise us at home.”

Roxanne insists the man in the clip wasn’t her husband.

“I knew it wasn’t Mark. The first thing he said was, ‘That’s not f***ing me,’ and he was devastated. We’ve built our marriage on trust — and this just didn’t add up.”

She claims the video was “fake” and possibly AI-generated, adding that the couple rarely go out separately.

“At no point would or could Mark have been in that situation,” she said. “It was simply impossible.”

Despite the online storm, Roxanne says their marriage remains strong — though the trolling left lasting scars.

“I got horrible messages saying, ‘No wonder he’s doing that, you’re too fat.’ It was vile,” she admitted. “People even said awful things about our kids.”
