Bradley Walsh was left stunned after one celebrity banked an exceptional sum on The Chase Celebrity Christmas Special.

The yuletide episode, broadcasting on Christmas Eve, features comedian Lucy Porter, Countdown presenter Colin Murray, Strictly Come Dancing singer Tommy Blaize, and actor-comedian Asim Chaudhry battling against five Chasers donning festive attire.

In an exclusive clip, Lucy, 52, delivers an outstanding performance in the cash builder round. Host Bradley, 65, begins by saying: “Now, you and I, we’ve known each other a long while. You love quizzing, don’t you?”.

Lucy responds: “I do, I do. My dad used to, when I was a kid, if we had dinner, you didn’t get pudding unless you could answer a quiz question.

“So, every time I would answer a question, he’d need to give me a slice of Viennetta or an Arctic roll!”

Lucy proceeds to tackle the cash builder round, with each correct response worth £1,000. Within 60 seconds, she successfully answers ten questions, securing an impressive £10,000.

Following the remarkable cash builder performance, both the audience and Lucy’s teammates burst into applause.

Host Bradley remarks: “Well that was very, very rare that we get five figures in a cash builder. Ten grand, congratulations, time to face a Chaser!”

The special festive edition of the ITV quiz programme will feature Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis. This year’s fancy dress theme is Christmas Lunch, with The Beast donning a Christmas Pudding outfit, The Vixen as a Brussels sprout, The Menace as a Pig in Blanket, The Sinnerman as a Turkey and The Governess as a Christmas Cracker.

Anne dazzles in a blonde curly wig and a sparkling red ballgown for the festive occasion, while her co-stars sport vibrant costumes to embody their characters.
