She was dealt another huge blow when she landed in the dreaded dance-off once again at the weekend, despite getting another perfect score and Strictly Come Dancing star Amber Davies won’t be taking part in the show’s live tour. Instead her partner Nikita Kuzmin will be reunited with Layton Williams to perform at arenas across the country.

Amber, who won Love Island alongside ex Kem Cetinay in 2017, wasn’t meant to be taking part in Strictly 2015, only to be called in just days before the first live show, after Dani Dyer was forced to withdraw due to injury. Critics quickly took aim at the fact that Amber was an established theatre performer, having starred in the likes of Pretty Woman, 9 to 5 and The Great Gatsby, arguing it was ‘unfair’ she’s been cast to compete against many non-dancers.

On Saturday night, right after she and Nikita got another 40 from the judges, this time for their Couple’s Choice, the pro dancer spoke out in support of her and condemned the ‘hate’ she’d received from some people as soon as it was announce she was doing Strictly. Having ended in the bottom two for the second week in a row and defeating Balvinder and Julian, Amber and Nikita will be in this year’s final, but whatever the outcome, Amber isn’t doing the tour and neither is Karen Carney, the current favourite to win the Glitterball trophy.
