Nicola Peltz shared a message about “family” in her first social media post since tensions between her husband Brooklyn and his parents erupted over the weekend. The already-strained relationship between the Beckhams’ eldest son, his parents Victoria and David, and his siblings took a concerning turn after the entire family discovered they had been ‘blocked’ on social media by the aspiring chef. Brooklyn’s youngest brother, Cruz, broke ranks to publicly confirm that Brooklyn had deliberately cut off his entire family, with even his little sister, Harper, ruthlessly removed from his contacts.

It marked the first time one of the Beckhams had addressed the rift publicly. He further aggravated matters by declaring to his wife Nicola, “I will always choose you” after missing the family gatherings. Following Brooklyn’s mass unfollowing at the weekend, his wife Nicola returned to Instagram with what appeared to be a pointed reference to ‘families’. Sharing a photograph of her billionaire father Nelson Peltz looking cheerful behind four vibrant candles, she wrote: “Happy Hanukkah from our family to yours”, reports the Mirror.

Nicola’s family welcomed Brooklyn as they celebrated the Jewish Festival of Lights. Observers have also noticed that the Beckhams would be unable to respond to Nicola’s post as she has mirrored her husband’s actions and seemingly blocked them from social media too, with the family no longer following the socialite.

The Los Angeles-based pair seemingly don’t want a Christmas reconciliation and are said to want his UK-based family to “back off” and give them space in hopes of achieving some festive peace.

A source close to the Peltz Beckhams has said: “It would be really in the holiday spirit if the Beckhams could just back off and leave them alone for now… Nicola and Brooklyn haven’t been commenting. They just want peace.”

The insider added: “It would be best for everyone for them [the Beckhams] to stop contacting, commenting and briefing because it’s not accomplishing anything. They have requested that the Beckhams back off. They just want to be left alone… They get upset by the speculation. They are trying to take the high road which is not to react at all and to just live their lives.”

Over the weekend, The Mail claimed that both David and Victoria had unfollowed Brooklyn on social media – an allegation disputed by their younger son Cruz. The 20 year old took to his story to set the record straight, insisting his parents would never unfollow their own child.

“NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I,” Cruz declared. Brooklyn Beckham reportedly took the drastic step of blocking his family on social media after his mother, Victoria, liked a post about him cooking a chicken.

The Sun reports that Brooklyn was irked by his mum’s public show of affection and decided to block his entire family.

“It appears that Brooklyn has blocked them to show them that’s it, this is final. It is very clear that this is a sign of his complete estrangement from his family,” an insider revealed to the media. Unless there’s a sudden change of heart, Brooklyn won’t be joining his family at their £10million Cotswolds residence for Christmas, despite their attempts to mend fences.

Instead, he’ll be celebrating the holiday season with Nicola Peltz’s family in Miami.
