Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver AJ Brown threw Jalen Hurts under the bus following the team’s heartbreaking loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.

Amid rumors that AJ Brown is unhappy in Philadelphia, the superstar wide receiver had another quiet performance in a 21-17 loss to Denver. Brown finished with five catches for 43 yards as the Eagles suffered their first loss of the season.

The Broncos scored 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to complete the stunning comeback. They closed the deal by knocking down Hurts’ last-second Hail Mary heave, a play where Brown inexplicably facemasked DeVonta Smith, which prevented both of them from getting the ball.

There was one play earlier in the game where Jalen Hurts just missed a wide-open AJ Brown for a walk-in touchdown. If you watch closely, you see Brown curiously slowing up on the route:

After the game, Brown seemingly blamed his quarterback for missing the touchdown, per PennLive.com:

“From my point of view, it was just missed…It’s not that I didn’t think the ball was coming. When I looked up, I didn’t see the ball. When I looked back, I didn’t see the ball. And then the ball was thrown. We just missed.”

For a team that’s 4-1 and eight months removed from a Super Bowl championship, the mood sure seems awfully testy and sour right now.
