The late Queen reportedly made a plea to Meghan Markle as she was officially set to leave the United Kingdom.

Meghan Markle is now using a 10-word “secret” offer made by late Queen Elizabeth II, which was a reported bid to stop Megxit. The 44-year-old previously found major stardom on US legal drama Suits, but later made the decision to step away from her role as Rachel Zane following her engagement to Prince Harry in 2017.

During the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s engagement interview in November 2017, Meghan discussed her decision to quit acting. Sat alongside Harry, she said at the time: “I don’t see it as giving anything up… I just see it as a change.”

Despite her decision, the late Queen, who died aged 96 in 2022, reportedly gave Meghan her blessing to continue her acting career alongside being a member of the Royal Family.

According to RadarOnline, former royal butler Paul Burrell said: “There is no doubt in my mind that [the late Queen] didn’t want Harry and Meghan to leave. She did not want ‘Megxit’ as it was dubbed, as she knew they would be estranged from her world.”

Speaking of the late Queen’s 10-word offer, he added: “The Queen even said to Meghan, ‘You can go back to acting if you want to.’ She was willing to bend the rules for Meghan, and offered to talk to her whenever she had any problems.”

The former working royal is now using the offer, with her recently pictured on the set of the upcoming Amazon MGM Studio film Close Personal Friends.

In the film, which also stars Lily Collins and Brie Larson, the mum-of-two will be taking on a cameo role as herself.

She has also seen the release of her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, and a new podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder.

The Duchess of Sussex will also release a Christmas special of With Love, Meghan on December 3.
