After a frightening car accident, Robert Griffin III and his family are thankful for their lives today.

Griffin III, who recently landed as the newest member of the FOX Sports team this year, took to social media and revealed that he and his family were involved in a serious car accident. Luckily, nobody was hurt.

On X, Griffin posted three pictures that showed the aftermath of what happened on an interstate in Fort Worth.

His vehicle hit a divider and blew both of its front tires. Griffin and his family, including his wife and children, made it out of the accident okay.

“Just got in the worst car accident of our lives with my wife and kids in Fort Worth, Texas,” Griffin III posted online in the aftermath. “Scary crash, ricocheted off the highway divider multiple times, blown both front tires. Thankful to God that my wife and kids are safe.”

Robert Griffin III is in the Fort Worth area with Connor Onion to prepare for tomorrow night’s Big 12 kicoff between the Colorado Buffaloes and TCU Horned Frogs.

Former ESPN analyst Robert Griffin made major headlines in 2024 when the Worldwide Leader in Sports fired him and Sam Ponder in a cost-cutting move.

Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported that Ponder and Griffin were making “more than seven figures”, with the former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback having two years remaining on his deal.

At least he took it in stride. He took to social media and posted a GIF of John Witherspoon’s character from the 1995 hit film Friday, asking how one can be fired on their day off.

Less than a year later, Fox Sports would call and sign the former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback as its No. 2 college football game analyst. He would replace Brock Huard, who announced that he was leaving the company to become a coach on his son’s high school football team.

Griffin is already battle-tested as he called college football games and was an NFL studio analyst for ESPN. The writing was ultimately on the wall regarding his career on ESPN after they replaced him on “Monday Night Countdown” when the network hired Jason Kelce.
