GB News presenter Patrick Christys has been forced to pull out of his 9pm show on the news channel, which airs on weeknights. Patrick addressed his Twitter followers just hours ahead of the programme’s broadcast to explain the unfortunate reason for his absence. He also shared who will be replacing him tonight (Wednesday, December 17), as he hopes to make a return to the channel tomorrow.

He penned on X: “Sorry about this – without going into too much detail, I have come down with quite a nasty little bug, and I’m not going to be able to do the show tonight. I believe @Nanaakua1 is taking the reins, so please do tune in 9pm @GBNEWS – Hopefully I’ll see you tomorrow!!”

Dozens of his followers hoped Christys would make a speedy recovery, sharing their kind words in the comment section.

One person wrote: “Get well soon, mate. We’ve all had it recently.” A second added, “Good luck with that, brother.” Meanwhile, a third added: “Get well soon and thank you for your show last night.”

Someone else noted: “Oh, Patrick !!! Sorry, lovely, just keep it away from young George unless he’s given it to you! But take care for now, I’m sure@Nanaakua1 will do a perfect job, see you soon x.”

Christys has been part of GB News since 2021, when the channel launched, and he’s known for his directness during his programmes, where he addresses viewers directly.

A damning report unveiled the gaps in the UK’s asylum process and highlighted the lack of key data necessary to improve immigration.

Christys fumed: “The Home Office has no idea how many asylum seekers have gone missing. The Home Office has no data on a third of people who have claimed asylum in the last three years, that is, tens of thousands of illegal immigrants who could have just vanished, but I think I know why they have.

“One in every 100 illegal immigrants in migrant hotels has been convicted of a crime, has been charged with a crime, or is wanted for a crime. So what do they do? They just leg it, don’t they?”
