Advance UK leader Ben Habib didn’t hold back as he tore into Chancellor Rachel Reeves live on TalkTV. In a blistering rant alongside anchor Kevin O’Sullivan, Habib fumed that Reeves and prime minister Keir Starmer are both “anti-British” after Reeves was heckled at a petrol station in Leeds yesterday (May 20).

O’Sullivan kicked things off by asking: “Do you think that guy was out of line? I don’t. I don’t think he was being un-British. Boisterous debate, conducted at high volume, is very British actually. I mean, he wasn’t out of line, was he?”

Habib responded: “Well, I would say a few things. First of all, we’ve just established that this government, which includes Rachel Reeves, [doesn’t] understand what it means to be British. They actually stand against the great kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. So I think it’s rich of her to be invoking a British cultural trait, first of all.

“Second of all, even though we are by nature, a polite nation, actually there are times where you do need to speak up and you do need to confront, absolutely forcibly, the damage that’s being done by people like Rachel Reeves and her boss Keir Starmer, to the country.”

He continued: “Lastly, I don’t think that was rude. All he did was express himself, as I say, forcefully, having been no doubt pushed into a corner, proverbially with his head in his hands, as so many of us are, looking at the state of the country and the direction in which this government is driving it.

“For Rachel Reeves to be invoking a British cultural trait, when this government has trounced our British cultural heritage to the extent that it has, is absolutely rich.

“Starmer is anti-British, Rachel Reeves is anti-British, the front bench of the Labour Party is anti-British. They should be removed from office and cultural nationalism should be put at the heart of the next British government.”
