Sarah Ferguson could reportedly be eyeing up a royal pension to keep her afloat, a royal author has claimed. The former Duchess of York, who has spent months and months surrounded by scandals, could reportedly be negotiating a pension with the Firm in exchange for not taking part in a tell-all interview.
This is a claim made by royal author Andrew Lownie, whose paperback version of his book Entitled – which also includes a new chapter – is hitting bookstores today. Speaking to The Mirror, Lownie said that Sarah is no doubt trying to negotiate a pension at the moment, with the outcome of this likely to influence whether or not she does a tell-all interview. He said: “That may be what Fergie’s negotiating at the moment. Can she get a nice pension from them and not have to do an Oprah interview.”
These rumours have been swirling while Sarah has been keeping a low profile, even seeking refuge at a chalet in Austria.
The prospect of a tell-all interview comes after Sarah’s reputation has been damaged as a result of the Epstein Files, which show that Sarah remained friends with Epstein even after he was first sentenced for child sex offences.
Appearing in the Epstein Files does not automatically indicate any wrongdoing.

As well as these claims about Sarah seeking a pension, Lownie has also claimed to The Mirror that Prince William and King Charles’ request for Sarah and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to submit a financial audit was refused.
It is not known why this is, or whether a reason was given.
It is believed that despite scandals surrounding their parents, Eugenie and Beatrice are still being included in events by the Royal Family.
A representative for Sarah has been contacted for comment. Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment regarding claims about Beatrice and Eugenie.
