For 15 years, Roberts was a sportscaster for ESPN. Many know her better, however, for her role as a co-anchor on Good Morning America. Roberts took on this role in 2005.

While appearing on Good Morning America, Roberts often shares news and life updates with fans about her everyday life, as well as the people in her life. Recently, Roberts had some big news for viewers as she closed the segment on a recent episode.

Roberts could be seen sitting next to her co-hosts, George Stephanopoulos, Michael Strahan, Lara Spencer, and Ginger Zee. After the headlines were read, Roberts wanted to congratulate one of her co-workers.

Roberts shared, “We want to congratulate GMA producer Danielle Genet and her husband, Matt, on their new addition, Evan Bradley. Their first baby! So happy! Mom, dad and baby are all happy and healthy, and that is what is most important.”

After congrats were shared, Roberts also commented that she liked the baby boy’s name. She noted, “I love that name too, Evan.”

According to her LinkedIn page, Genet’s first job with ABC News was in 2012 as a digital news associate, eventually becoming an associate producer. In 2015, she started working on Good Morning America.

Roberts Also Recently Shared The News Of An Upcoming Project With Her Siblings On The Show

In 2023, Genet took on the role of producer for ABC News Studio. She has also worked with Rock’n Robin Productions, which was founded by Robin Roberts.

Roberts is no stranger to sharing big news on the show. Over the years, she’s shared various aspects of her life, from her cancer battle to her marriage to Amber Laign.

As noted by Hello! Magazine, she also recently talked about a new family project. With her siblings, Lawrence and Sally-Ann Roberts, who appeared on the show, she revealed they were working on a new book, Lucy Sings on Lucy Street. The book was reportedly inspired by their late mother.

According to 9 News, Roberts has also spoken out about how well the GMA team work together. In a statement, she shared, “We would never, ever do anything to make each other look good at the expense of the other.”

“That’s such a comfort. To have that, it makes you take chances, and I think the audience picks up on that — the way that we are so different in many ways but so common in others.”
